Chad Harris M.Sc.,

President and Chief Executive Officer, Director

Chad Harris is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Serafina Energy Ltd. and is a co-founder of the company. Mr. Harris has over 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with junior and senior producers. He was most recently Vice President, Exploration, at Southern Pacific Resource Corp. from 2009 – 2013 where his responsibilities included the development and reservoir characterization programs at Senlac, a 5,000 barrel per day thermal Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) project near Unity, Saskatchewan. Mr. Harris spent eight years with Canadian Natural Resources Limited and was responsible for the exploration and development of various heavy oil and bitumen properties. 

Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and a Master’s of Science degree in Sedimentology from the University of Alberta.

John Lang-Hodge CA,

Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer

John Lang-Hodge is the Chief Financial Officer of Serafina Energy and is a co-founder of the company. Mr. Lang-Hodge has over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with junior producers and in public accounting. Mr. Lang-Hodge was previously Manager, Finance at Southern Pacific Resource Corp. (STP) from 2012 – 2013 responsible for capital markets transactions, corporate budgeting, banking relationships and financial reporting oversight. Prior thereto, he spent three years as the Manager, Financial Reporting at Cequence Energy Ltd. and worked on numerous equity offerings and M&A transactions.

Mr. Lang-Hodge is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr. Lang-Hodge holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) from the University of Calgary and was a Dzurko National Honour Roll Medalist on the 2007 Uniform Final Exam. 

Rob Parsons MBA, P.Eng,

Vice President Operations and Chief Operating Officer

Rob Parsons is the Chief Operating Officer of Serafina Energy, a role he has held since 2014. Mr. Parsons has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with major independent producers and service providers. Prior to joining Serafina Energy, he held positions as VP, Thermal Production/Exploitation at Husky Energy Inc. from 2010 to 2014, and was responsible for the acquisition, execution, and long-term development of Husky’s portfolio of small-scale thermal assets in Saskatchewan, growing production from 15,000 barrels per day to over 46,000 barrels per day in under three years. He also spent three years as the Manager, Heavy Oil, two years as the Project Manager, Utilities and Offsites at the Lloydminster Upgrader Expansion, two years as Exploitation Team Lead, Ram River, and three years as Development Coordinator of Saskatchewan gas at Husky Energy Inc.

Mr. Parsons is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and Saskatchewan, and a member of the Canadian Heavy Oil and Gas Association. Mr. Parsons holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University.

Chris Bartole BComm,

Vice President, Land and Business Development

Chris Bartole is the Vice President, Land and Business Development of Serafina Energy and is a co-founder of the company. He has over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with junior and senior producers, as well as land services providers. He was the founder and President of Absolute Land & Lease LP, a full-service land brokerage specializing in acquisitions and divestitures. Prior thereto, Mr. Bartole was a founder and Vice President, Land at Emerge Oil & Gas Inc. from 2008-2010 and was responsible for the identification, negotiation and closing of all corporate and asset acquisitions. Mr. Bartole also held a variety of roles with Galleon Energy Inc., Capitol Energy Resources Ltd., and Nexen Inc. (domestic and international). 

Mr. Bartole is a member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a major in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Calgary.

Colin Germaniuk P.Eng,

Vice President, Engineering

Colin Germaniuk is the Vice President of Subsurface at Serafina Energy. Mr. Germaniuk has over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with both major and junior producers. Prior to joining Serafina Energy, he held the position of Production Engineering Manager at Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd. from 2013 to 2014, responsible for subsurface production operations, development planning, and the execution of SAGD well pair and infill start-ups. Prior thereto, he spent one year with Southern Pacific Resource Corp. as a Production Engineer responsible for development and production operation at the Senlac SAGD project and six years at Canadian Natural Resources Limited in various roles, including two years as the Production Engineer at the Wolf Lake SAGD project.

Mr. Germaniuk is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan, and also the Canadian Heavy Oil Association. Mr. Germaniuk holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Fourth Class Power Engineering certificate from SAIT.
 

Bryan Vandal P.Geo,

Vice President, Exploration

Bryan Vandal is the Vice President of Exploration at Serafina Energy Ltd. Mr. Vandal has over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with junior and senior producers. Prior to joining Serafina Energy, Mr. Vandal was Director, Development and Production at Athabasca Oil Corporation, and was responsible for the acquisition, development and execution of all thermal assets. Prior thereto, he spent five years at ConocoPhillips Canada working on the exploration and development of the Surmont SAGD project.

Mr. Vandal is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science from the University of Alberta.
